SKylight shines twice as bright with two nominations at Housing Heroes Awards

Skylight, a charitable organisation which strives itself on making a difference in the community has been nominated in two categories at the Housing Heroes Awards for ‘Best Health and Wellbeing Initiative and ‘Tenant of the Year.’

The Housing Heroes Awards celebrate the leaders, innovators and changemakers across the sector, sharing learning from teams and individuals within the housing sector.

Skylights ‘Tenant of the Year' nomination is celebrating one of its dedicated customers Bob McGechan, who has spent the last 5 years being a voice for customers at Stockport Homes Group (SHG) and SKylight, ensuring customers and communities are heard, supported, and respected.

The charitable organisation has also been nominated for ‘Best Health and Wellbeing Initiative’ for its holistic health and wellbeing support for residents in the Borough in a time of increasing need and diminishing resources.

The awards will be announced on Monday 26th June at Manchester Central.

This is a fantastic achievement to be nominated in two categories, a huge congratulation to Bob McGechan, your dedication to ensuring customers’ voices are heard is hugely important to ensuring we continue to deliver excellent services to customers, and you should be extremely proud of yourself. To also be nominated for our health and well-being offer to customers is a great achievement, during a cost-of-living crisis having health and well-being support is more important than ever. Good luck to everyone, and I will have my fingers crossed.
