The Furniture Recycling Project collects and recycles good quality furniture and electrical white goods. These items are donated to families or residents in need who may lack the basic items that make their property a home.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to boost your confidence and get you ready for work. Alternatively volunteering can be used as a way of giving something back to the community.

Our team can provide you with advice and guidance on getting back into work. We can support you with job searching and gaining work experience, identifying an apprenticeship, accessing training or work placements and much more!

The Community Fund is available to help improve and sustain the neighbourhoods where Stockport Homes manage properties. 

We offer a wide range of activities and events to support families and young people to get involved.

We provide a range of other services to support our customers and communities including; Your Local Pantry and Independent Living. 

In 2022, the SKylight Community Fund awarded £839 to Cheadle Heath Community Association to run two events – a musical Spring Afternoon Tea and Christmas Lunch, held on Christmas Day itself.

In March 2016, the group were successful in securing their first grant from the Stockport Homes’ Community Fund, which helped them to establish a weekly coffee morning.
